Handover & support

For pros: how your customer gets the cloud features, and who supports the app after you leave.

For pros · at handover

Pick how your customer gets the cloud features

For installers handing a job to a customer. Doing your own house? Add the controller to your own account and pick a plan in the app.

Path 1 · Free version

Hand over a finished job. Nothing to buy.

  1. Flash and set up

Flash the free firmware and set pins, LED counts and zones in Installer setup (setup guide).

  2. Customer installs the app

From the App Store or Google Play. No account needed.

  3. Put it on their Wi‑Fi

In the app: Add device → NEW DEVICE, and enter their Wi‑Fi. If they’re signed in, this also adds it to their home.

  4. Show them the basics

On/off, favorites, colors and the free on-device schedules. Done — it keeps working with no account and no internet.

They can add Yearly (Path 2) or Lifetime (Path 3) later — upgraded in place, no reflash, no return visit.

Path 2 · Customer pays Yearly

Yearly, bought by the customer in the app

$24.99 a year for up to 5 controllers, at one location or several. A 10-day free trial starts when the first controller is added — no card.

How it works

  • You install on the free version (Path 1)
  • The customer signs in, adds the controller, and their free trial starts
  • They subscribe in the app, through Apple or Google
  • It renews each year and they can cancel any time; local Wi‑Fi control stays free either way
  • They can move to $149.99 Lifetime any time, then cancel Yearly in the App Store or Google Play (it doesn’t cancel itself)

What it isn’t

  • Not something you can buy for them — it’s billed to the Apple or Google account on their phone
  • Not a code: codes are Lifetime only
  • Want the customer to pay nothing? That’s Path 3.
Path 3 · You buy Lifetime

Your customer pays nothing, ever

One $149.99 code puts one customer’s account on Lifetime, for good — up to 5 controllers. Buy one per customer.

  1. Buy the code

On the Lifetime codes page. It’s on screen and emailed the moment you pay.

  2. Customer signs in

On their phone, in the app, with their own account — create one if they don’t have it. The code goes to whichever account is signed in.

  3. Add the controller to their home

On the home Wi‑Fi: Add device → NEW DEVICE, or ALREADY CONNECTED if it’s already on Wi‑Fi.

  4. Enter the code

Profile → Have a code? on the plan card. The calendar, remote control and sharing switch on.

Enter the code on the customer’s account, never your own — it covers whichever account is signed in. Wrong account? Call or text (850) 393-1519.

Up to 5 controllers are covered: add each with Add device. If one asks for a code, enter the same code again.

Handover questions

Can I buy several codes at once?

Yes — set the quantity on the Lifetime codes page. One code per customer. Ten or more in one order are $119.99 each, applied automatically.

Does the code go in before or after the customer signs up?

After the customer signs in and adds the controller. Never on your own account. See the steps.

Can I pay for my customer’s first year instead of Lifetime?

No. Yearly is billed through the customer’s own Apple or Google account. To cover it, buy a $149.99 Lifetime code.

Can I try the cloud features before I sell them?

Yes. A new account gets a 10-day free trial when its first controller is added — try it with a bench board, no code or card.
